Hope comes when you need it
Letter to the reader:
This poem explores the longing for a savior—whether in fantasies, self-reliance, or fleeting hopes. It challenges the idea that we must fit a certain mold or live up to expectations. In the end, true grace is given freely, with no dress code required. May it remind you that the Savior you seek is already here, beyond the world’s distractions.
The look of desire,
the look ‘over yonder’ ,
the look into the horizon
and the sky encapsulates you.
Forces unforeseeable,
saviors expected,
damsels in distress,
anticipated.
Music that pulls more than heartstrings,
it draws out emotions,
as that triple bass clef plays we look deeper,
feel more,
the beets-
Louder.
Heart beats shorten
Eager children wanting,
believing,
A faith like mentality our pastor is seeking,
Congregations,
Classrooms of under 5’s
Belief in jesus?
Or santa?
The world says we should be our own savior,
our own dance partner,
take on the oysters,
for the world is yours.
Yet isn’t this the same world that told us to watch ‘seaspiracy?”
Destroy the oceans,
Documentations only for views,
‘cowspiracy?’
The evidence is there,
the destruction alone should shock us.
But until it's in our own galaxy
we never call on the jedi’s,
Never be a damsel in a princess gowns,
Never pat down our pink and lilac dresses,
awaiting our prince,
our savior,
our superman,
My savior graces me,
He adorns me,
No dress code required.
